A GOD OF STRENGTH OUTLINE

I. In Christianity, as a Christian, you can expect hardships that at times seem too great to bear. However, Jesus has told us that He is with us always and that He has overcome the World. (Matthew 4:18-20; John 16:33; Psalm 46:1; Isaiah 41:10; Philippians 4:6-7)

II. This is the GOD we serve. There is nothing greater, there is nothing worth more, there is nothing that compares to the GOD of all creation. (Isaiah 40:12-17; Psalm 47:2, 65:5, 66:3, 66:5 68:35, 77:11-14, 99:3; Deuteronomy 7:21, 10:2128:58; Nehemiah 1:5; Job 37:22 )

III. Our God is the Creator of all things, including people. He is unique. He is the one and only true GOD, and we miss out on an infinite source of wisdom, mercy, grace, and love if we serve anything else other than GOD. (Isaiah 40:18-26; Exodus 8:10; 15:11; 1 Samuel 2:2; Micah 7:18; Acts 17:29)

IV. Our only strength comes from God through troubled times, times of stress, anger, oppression, or just being completely exhausted from life. Our only hope is in GOD. (Isaiah 40:29, 50:4; Jeremiah 31:25)

Without the Triune God (God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit), humanity is doomed to live a miserable existence. My question to you today is, why would you want to live life in misery when joy is abundant if you live for GOD?

Love Ya’ll, Pastor Cary
