Welcome Home to the Cowboy Church of Young County, where everyone has a place to serve the Lord.

Psalm 62; Philippians 4:10-13; 4-7.

(The verses today will be read out of the

NASB95.)

KEY VERSE

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

 OUTLINE

I. The happiness and joy in life does not come from having everything you want; it comes from having an attitude of gratitude in everything because our lives are able to be aligned with God’s will through Jesus Christ. (Phillipians 4:4-7, 10)

II. Paul has a contentment in all circumstances because he knows and trusts God’s will over his own, and that God has an unearthly, eternal reward for him in heaven. (Philippians 4:7-12; Matthew 5:12; Luke 6:20-23)

III. Happiness and joy come from an attitude of gratitude because we are able to align with God’s will in our lives. Contentment comes from having trust in God’s will and His rewards through Jesus Christ. However, everything is based on our confidence that Jesus Christ will strengthen his children for any situation, even death. (Philippians 4:13)

Happiness, joy, and contentment are not a guarantee or a state of being; they are a choice. Millions of Americans and others all over the world are angry, miserable, and depressed. Why? Because they have no idea what it means to trust in the will of God and allow themselves to be strengthened through Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I encourage all people to consent to turning their life over to the care and love of Jesus Christ by embracing a confidence in His will and strength over their own. After all, everything in the world hasn’t helped. What have you got to lose – just misery and pain.

Love Ya’ll, Pastor Cary
