7 BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS HAVE BEEN
FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED.
8 “BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT.”
OUTLINE
I. When you decide to follow the LORD, it is not just about having faith but also being willing to put your faith into action. (Genesis. 1:10; James. 2:18-20)II. Humanity can receive forgiveness through faith in the blood of Jesus’ death. (Romans 3:24-25)
II. “FAITH” is more than just believing; it’s a conviction of the understanding of God’s greatness, an acceptance of God’s will in your life, and a trust in your innermost being in God and His ways. (Romans 4)
III. In the Old Testament, before Jesus Christ, the Son of God and prophesied Messiah, your righteousness, your justified right to come before God, because your sin has been forgiven, is dependent on your FAITH in God. (Romans 4)
IV. In the New Testament, after the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Your righteousness is grounded in FAITH that Jesus, who did not sin, died for your sins, making His death the only valid payment for our sins. (Romans 4)
There is nothing we have done that cannot be forgiven by accepting Jesus’ gift of grace on the cross for our sins. Love Y’all, Cary
