Romans 6:1- 23

KEY VERSE

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

OUTLINE

I. Once our body completely shuts down and is no longer able to carry out any of its functions, then we are dead. (Rm. 6:1,2)

II. Sin can no longer dominate you by condemning you to death; you now possess the ability to resist and rebel against it. (Rm. 6:1,2)

III. We are United with Him because we are now:

  Crucified with Him 

  Buried with Him

  Raised with Him

  Dead to sin because of Him

  And are now living as a new person alive to God through Him. (Rm. 6:3-11)

IV. Through Jesus Christ as sons and daughters of a righteous God, we are to present our bodies as instruments of our Father. (Rm. 6:12-22)

With Jesus Christ comes a new person, a new way of living, and an eternal destiny to be with the FATHER.
