OUTLINE

I. Therefore, contempt before investigation undermines Christianity’s appeal because it contradicts the faith’s central message. (Matthew 22:37-39)

II. If we, as Christians, do not live what we teach and preach, it can lead non-Christians to blaspheme God. (Romans 2:17-27)

III. Those non-Christians who act and think with morally and ethically higher standards than the Christians do expose the guilt, sin, and hypocrisy in a Christians life. (Romans 2:25-28)

IV. True Christianity transcends baptism, formal church attendance, or superficial lip-worship; rather, it involves a faith that operates both internally in the heart and externally in one’s conduct and daily life.

For one, confirming Christianity’s truth does not require defending every action of the institutional church throughout history—the Christian record includes both profound good and serious moral failures, with the church sometimes teaching falsehood and perpetrating evil.

A true Christian can confirm Christianity’s truth by following Christ’s teachings as recorded in Scripture and is guided by the Holy Spirit, while at the same time rejecting man-made doctrines and corrupted religious systems.

Love Y’all,
